Overview
The Data Collection Field Assistant will support the implementation of monitoring activities across the full IOM Ukraine programme portfolio, including conducting remote and in-person data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data collection (surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions) through phone or in the field.
- Enter collected information into a data entry template or assigned mobile application.
- Ensure the quality of information collected by verifying and correcting questionnaires/forms.
- Provide daily updates on progress and challenges to the supervisor.
- Ensure IOM’s Data Protection and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Principles are adhered to.
- Attend data collection coordination meetings, providing information on interactions and updates from areas of operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- High school diploma/certificate with two years of relevant work experience or Bachelor’s Degree with at least one years of responsible work experience.
- Experience of working with governmental authorities, local or international NGOs or UN agencies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with conducting assessments and engaging with communities to understand their needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the context and issues related to the emergency response in Ukraine would be an asset.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/certificate or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Degree in social sciences, law, or international relations/development would be an advantage.
