Overview

The Data Collection Field Assistant will support the implementation of monitoring activities across the full IOM Ukraine programme portfolio, including conducting remote and in-person data collection.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct data collection (surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions) through phone or in the field.
  • Enter collected information into a data entry template or assigned mobile application.
  • Ensure the quality of information collected by verifying and correcting questionnaires/forms.
  • Provide daily updates on progress and challenges to the supervisor.
  • Ensure IOM’s Data Protection and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Principles are adhered to.
  • Attend data collection coordination meetings, providing information on interactions and updates from areas of operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma/certificate with two years of relevant work experience or Bachelor’s Degree with at least one years of responsible work experience.
  • Experience of working with governmental authorities, local or international NGOs or UN agencies is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with conducting assessments and engaging with communities to understand their needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the context and issues related to the emergency response in Ukraine would be an asset.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/certificate or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Degree in social sciences, law, or international relations/development would be an advantage.

Languages Required
• Fluency in Ukrainian is mandatory.
Languages Preferred
• Russian is desirable. • Intermediate or higher level of English will be an advantage.
