Overview

The WatHab WaSH Project Officer will manage and support water projects, contributing to the development of strategic and practical solutions for water supply systems to enhance service delivery and improve sustainability and resilience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Identifies needs through assessments, surveys, and engagement with communities and stakeholders.
  • Supports the supervisor in conducting a comprehensive analysis of existing processes and systems.
  • Prepares technical documents for engineering projects and monitors project implementation.
  • Integrates water, environmental, and climate change-related data into project design.
  • Carries out capacity building initiatives and keeps regular contacts with local authorities, service providers, and communities.
  • Contributes to the preparation and submission of institutional and delegation reports.
  • Drafts Minutes of Meetings (MoM) with external interlocutors and internal ICRC departments.
Required Experience

• 3-5 years' professional experience in a related urban water field of activity, e.g., water/sanitation treatment plan and networks design, rehabilitation, and/or construction.

Qualifications

• University degree in water engineering, civil, or similar with minimum relevant water-related experience in water supply, water resource engineering.
