Overview
The Finance Officer will be the key contact person for daily financial operations in the Kismayo finance office, ensuring compliance, controls, and cashflow management. The role supports the Area Finance Coordinator in maintaining seamless financial operations and meeting monthly deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Kismayo finance office.
- Review and process payments.
- Ensure compliance and controls are in place.
- Manage office cashflow.
- Support Area Finance Coordinator in ensuring seamless financial operations.
- Adhere to monthly diary with no bottlenecks in meeting monthly payments, data posting and reconciliations.
- Lead in uploading and reviewing vendor invoices in Prosave.
- Make daily/weekly payment runs.
- Ensure timely payment of all supplier/vendor invoices.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in finance role in an INGO.
- Familiar with High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Accounting/ finance or Business administering from a recognized University.
- ACCA or CPA is desirable.
