Overview
This consultancy aims to assess the potential for domestic resource mobilization from private sector and philanthropic segments in Nigeria to support Save the Children's action plan and fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a desk review to map key actors, estimate funding volumes, identify barriers, review regulations, document successful initiatives, and assess thematic priorities.
- Rank segments based on potential funding volume, strategic alignment, feasibility, accessibility, scalability, sustainability, and added value.
- Conduct targeted stakeholder interviews and develop case studies and strategic recommendations for priority segments.
- Create a mapping of each segment’s development and humanitarian priorities.
- Deliver an inception report, Phase 1 report, a private sector funding database, and a strategic recommendations report with annexes.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, CSR strategy, market research, or social impact assessments in Nigeria.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar assignment.
- Access to a wide network of local private sector actors, CSR managers, philanthropic advisors, HNWIs, and philanthropic foundations.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian socio-economic, philanthropic, and regulatory context.
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, surveys, data analysis).
- Familiarity with corporate philanthropy, high-net-worth donor engagement, and local giving practices.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
