Overview
The role is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of farmer field schools within the framework of the Crops Diversity project, aiming to achieve project deliverables with quality and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage the implementation of Farmer Field Schools (CEP)
- Participate in discussions on agronomic issues related to crops, marketing, and legal context
- Contribute to writing technical reports, publications, proposals, and learning documents
- Ensure project deliverables are met with quality and on time
- Provide real-time information to Oxfam teams and the seed and market advisor
- Work closely with the ICRISAT team in Mali
- Contribute to the development and update of operational project action plans
- Support Farmer Field School facilitators
- Be available for regular exchanges with producers
- Maintain good working relationships with all project stakeholders
- Contribute to strengthening Oxfam's collaboration with technical services and decentralized communities
- Represent Oxfam locally and promote a coordinated approach with local and international NGOs, agencies, government departments, and community organizations
- Facilitate project learning by planning and organizing visits for Oxfam staff, technical services, other NGOs, humanitarian actors, journalists, and donors
- Contribute to the analysis of the country's social, economic, and political situation and Oxfam's response planning
- Contribute to the production of quality reports respecting Oxfam's quality standards
- Protect Oxfam's image
- Be fully integrated into the OXFAM team
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of continuous professional experience in agriculture, particularly seed production (an asset)
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a team using English and French as working languages
- Solid knowledge of agricultural production, social and solidarity economy, marketing and trade, sales, communication related to agricultural products
- Knowledge of the agri-food sector
- Experience in agricultural value chains
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Good critical analytical skills
- At least 5 years of continuous professional experience in the production and marketing of agricultural products
- Proven experience in monitoring farmer field schools
- Proven experience in managing agricultural development projects
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a good understanding of leadership and group dynamics
- Knowledge of the agricultural value chain approach and the valorization of agri-food products
- Experience in the agri-business sector (desirable)
- Experience in gender analysis in partner organizations (desirable)
- Proven experience in planning, multitasking, and time management (desirable)
Qualifications
• A university degree (Bac + 3 minimum) or equivalent in the field of agriculture.
