Overview
The Communications Analyst adapts UNDP’s global communication strategy to a local context and Country Office development priorities. The role aims to position UNDP as a leader in the development arena, promote visibility of program outcomes, and mobilize support for Sustainable Development Goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the planning and design of internal and external communication strategies and outreach.
- Manage country office publication activities.
- Provide technical support to UNDP digital communications.
- Contribute to UNDP’s campaign initiatives.
- Assist country office’s knowledge management and dissemination.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree or 2+ years with bachelor’s + experience in media relations, communication products, outreach & stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of web-based content management systems for managing digital communication platforms, websites, and social media channels, etc.
- Additional relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement will be considered an asset.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, or related field is required, or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
