Overview

The Communications Analyst adapts UNDP’s global communication strategy to a local context and Country Office development priorities. The role aims to position UNDP as a leader in the development arena, promote visibility of program outcomes, and mobilize support for Sustainable Development Goals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the planning and design of internal and external communication strategies and outreach.
  • Manage country office publication activities.
  • Provide technical support to UNDP digital communications.
  • Contribute to UNDP’s campaign initiatives.
  • Assist country office’s knowledge management and dissemination.
Required Experience
  • Master’s degree or 2+ years with bachelor’s + experience in media relations, communication products, outreach & stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of web-based content management systems for managing digital communication platforms, websites, and social media channels, etc.
  • Additional relevant experience beyond the minimum requirement will be considered an asset.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, or related field is required, or
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.

Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a must. Working level of spoken and written English is required.

Remuneration
standard monthly salary equivalent to S/12,165.19, plus additional benefits such as: 8.33% of the base salary for retirement pension, annual leave, medical insurance, and life insurance.
