Overview

The Senior Technical Manager will provide technical support to Implementation, External Engagement/Learning, and Capacity Building for the Big Dream End Child Marriage (BDECM) Program. The role ensures programming aligns with World Vision and international best practices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance in the design and implementation of child protection project approaches/models.
  • Ensure alignment with WV’s global strategy and field contexts.
  • Provide technical support to field managers for collaborative ECM implementation.
  • Ensure technical approaches, promoted methodology and tools meet WV’s ministry goals and donor sector strategies.
  • Develop evidence-building strategies with program and M&E Leads.
  • Conduct field support in accordance with implementation and M&E plans.
  • Identify and communicate program quality concerns.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of technical capacity building plans for FO staff.
  • Provide guidance, capacity building and technical support to ECM FOs.
  • Develop and conduct training in program methodologies and concepts.
  • Support qualitative monitoring of program interventions.
  • Provide technical support in child protection dialogues, external engagement and strategic positioning.
  • Seek opportunities for external engagement and technical branding of project learnings and achievements.
  • Contribute to or participate in assessments, surveys or evaluations.
  • Support the coordination of the learning agenda.
  • Disseminate best practice and learning with program and M&E Leads.
  • Coordinate adaptive management learning and reflection.
Required Experience
  • 8 years of ECM technical experience in an international NGO.
  • 4 years’ + experience in overseeing child protection, and / PSEA, GBV work as a team lead.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Specialist experience in child protection, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), gender-based violence (GBV).
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Development studies, human rights, International development or equivalent in technical area, or field/practical experience working with situations of policy formation, guidance and implementation preferred.
