Overview
Provide technical advisory mission coordination, translation, and reporting support for a mission related to disaster risk reduction and space-based information in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre-mission preparation and coordination with national institutions and UN agencies.
- Provide translation and language support between English, Russian, and Kyrgyz.
- Offer in-country mission support, including coordination, note-taking, and documentation.
- Contribute substantively to the Technical Advisory Mission (TAM) report, including drafting inputs and recommendations.
- Conduct fact-checking, validation, and quality assurance of mission documents and the TAM report.
- Manage post-mission follow-up, knowledge management, and communication.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in disaster risk reduction, emergency management, geospatial information, remote sensing, climate risk, public-sector coordination, international development or related fields is required.
- Experience working with government institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic, especially ministries or agencies involved in emergency situations, hydrometeorology, geospatial data, land resources, water, agriculture, environment, science or academia, is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting UN, international organization, donor-funded or intergovernmental missions, workshops, trainings, evaluations or technical assistance activities is desirable.
- Experience documenting technical meetings, drafting reports, synthesizing stakeholder inputs and fact-checking official documents is desirable.
- Experience with disaster risk management systems, early warning, GIS, remote sensing, satellite data, multi-hazard risk assessment or geospatial data platforms is an asset.
