Overview
The Operations Assistant (Intern) will provide effective and efficient support to IOM Paris, assisting and guiding migrants and beneficiaries upon arrival and during transit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and guide migrants travelling under the auspices of IOM upon arrival in CDG through border control, customs and security check until their departure (transit assistance).
- Assist and guide IOM beneficiaries arriving in Roissy CDG airport in the framework of the French resettlement programme; assist through the border control and customs until their departure with NGO, bus company or train.
- Buy food and drinks to migrants whenever necessary and as instructed.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by the HoO.
Required Experience
- Less than two years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in providing direct assistance to migrants is an asset.
Qualifications
Student in Social Science, Humanities, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
