Overview

The incumbent will act as a Field Protection Coordinator overseeing and guiding activities in the area of migrant assistance. He/she will coordinate the work of protection assistants and case workers, ensuring effective delivery of protection interventions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring operations of the Field Protection Team.
  • Supervise, provide guidance and training, coordinate, and monitor the work of field protection assistants and protection case workers.
  • Draft correspondence on project-related issues; compile, summarize, analyze, and present information and data; prepare and update reports.
  • Monitor budget implementation for field protection activities and propose adjustments.
  • Serve as the focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions; prepare training materials and participate in capacity-building workshops.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain liaison, cooperation, and coordination with local authorities, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor the work of implementing partners and service providers and report non-compliance.
  • Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and concept papers.
  • Regularly update the referral system in response to changes in law and the local context.
  • Identify new opportunities and areas of cooperation with social services and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in administrative work, collaborating with finance and procurement departments.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Experience in collaborating with international organizations, non-governmental organization and/or governmental institutions such social care services and law enforcement.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in supervising a team of minimum 3 persons.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution

Languages Required
Fluency in Polish, English and Ukrainian is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Russian, French or Spanish will be an asset.
