Overview
Internship opportunity with the Global Media Team to support storytelling, media outreach, and public narratives for refugees and displacement-affected populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting press releases, articles, and social media posts.
- Track and analyse media coverage related to refugee issues and DRC’s activities.
- Conduct research on relevant topics to identify potential global media opportunities.
- Help organize media events, including press conferences and interviews.
- Maintain media contact lists and support the team with administrative tasks.
- Provide assistance on special projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate-level university degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, International Relations, or a related field.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 and/or other software.
- Proven ability to identify a compelling story that deserves public attention.
- Knowledge of international and humanitarian and development policy, state and multilateral actors, and relevant international frameworks.
- Layout/editing skills.
