Overview
Leads microfinance operations in an assigned area/region, providing guidance and technical support while overseeing the implementation of departmental strategies to achieve financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participates in the development of operational plans and new products/branches.
- Leads microfinance operations, setting targets, formulating action plans, and monitoring progress.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Contributes to the development of field operational procedures and prepares reports.
- Works with branch managers to identify business opportunities and resolve complex challenges.
- Analyses performance metrics and identifies areas for improvement.
- Develops productivity ratios and performance targets for credit products.
- Develops staff capacity building plans and mentors staff.
- Ensures effective customer service and resolves escalated customer issues.
- Monitors the collection of bad debts and analyses trends.
Required Experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in management, administration and/or development of credit operations or financial administration of loan programmes.
- Experience in staff development and training.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree in economics, business, finance, development studies or other related discipline.
