Overview
Support in operationalizing the strategic vision to align livelihoods and economic inclusion efforts with the Global Compact on Refugees. Promote economic inclusion of refugees to enable achievement of objectives and contribute to the 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore partnerships to facilitate economic inclusion of refugees.
- Work with multi-functional teams to support assessment of legal framework for the right to work and rights at work.
- Build on UNHCR databases to support regular information sharing and coordination.
- Conduct necessary assessments in collaboration with relevant private and public stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance on livelihoods interventions to ensure they are market-based.
- Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining partnerships with private sector entities, NGOs, UN agencies, and government institutions across livelihoods sectors.
- Proven ability to mobilize resources and support fundraising initiatives.
- Skilled in fostering collaboration between businesses, public institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in programme/project management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of livelihoods interventions.
- Experience in humanitarian or displacement settings is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with 1 year relevant experience; or Graduate degree with no experience; or Doctorate degree with no experience.
- Field(s) of Education: Business Management, Socio-Economics Development, Economics, International Economics, Rural Development, Financial Management or other relevant field.
