Overview
The consultant will support the implementation of DTM information management activities, including data collection, validation, displacement monitoring, and reporting, to strengthen evidence-based humanitarian response and disaster preparedness in Papua New Guinea.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized support with data processing and reporting.
- Participate in DTM data analysis and provide feedback regarding inconsistencies.
- Support improvements to data collection, methodology, and processes.
- Improve DTM products tailored to specific audiences and develop easy-access data formats.
- Support collaboration with programme units and partners to optimize DTM utility.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for operational overview and data collection progress.
- Support the development of maps, infographics, dashboards, and analytical products.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of programme updates.
- Deliver DTM-related trainings and capacity-building activities.
Required Experience
- Six years of relevant experience in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography/GIS, Statistics, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the implementation of Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programmes or similar information management activities is a requirement.
- Previous experience with population monitoring and mobility tracking processes is a strong advantage.
Qualifications
University degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography/GIS, Statistics, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
