Overview
The Senior Medical Officer - Emergency will ensure the effective functioning of the Emergency Department by providing high-quality emergency clinical care, rapid assessment, stabilization, and management of critically ill patients. The position will also support supervision of junior medical staff, coordinate emergency response within the hospital, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and humanitarian health guidelines.

- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely emergency care, appropriate referrals, and continuity of services
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in Emergency Medicine or Acute Care.
- Completion of at least one year of postgraduate clinical training/internship.
- Minimum one year of professional experience at a hospital level.
- Demonstrated experience in managing emergency cases, including trauma and burn management.
- Previous experience working in a hospital emergency department is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in managing pediatric complications often associated with humanitarian emergencies.
Qualifications
- An MBBS degree from a recognised medical institution and registered with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).
- Up-to-date evidence of current license and registration to practice.
- Advanced life support, pediatric life support and neonatal life support trained or their equivalents.
