Overview
Leads the day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a joint programme across four Participating United Nations Organizations, ensuring coherence with objectives, timelines, and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary coordination interface between the Administrative Agent, Convening Agent, Participating United Nations Organizations, and the donor.
- Supports the establishment, organization, and effective functioning of the Programme Steering Committee.
- Ensures systematic mapping of programme outcomes and deliverables against Sustainable Development Goals.
- Functions as the primary liaison between the joint program and relevant government counterparts and civil society organizations.
- Oversees the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the joint programme across the four Participating United Nations Organizations.
- Monitors programmatic progress and analyzes implementation trends.
- Reviews reports, outputs, and relevant documentation to identify bottlenecks or risks and propose corrective measures.
- Coordinates the consolidation of programmatic and financial reports received from the four Participating UN Organizations.
- Maintains comprehensive records of all reporting documentation.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights.
- Performs other duties as required such as the communication strategy.
Required Experience
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
- Experience in monitoring, reporting and data analysis, including consolidation of narrative and financial reports, preparation of high-quality analytical reports, and tracking programme performance against strategic frameworks is required.
- Experience in coordination and implementation, including experience in multi-stakeholder or multi-agency initiatives, donor-funded programmes, and results-based management is required.
- Experience working within the United Nations system or other international organizations, including coordination among multiple UN entities and engagement with government counterparts and civil society organizations is desirable.
- Experience supporting intergovernmental or high-level coordination mechanisms, such as steering committees or programme boards, and familiarity with donor reporting standards and voluntary national reporting processes related to the 2030 Agenda is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.
