Overview
This internship supports data management, analysis, and advocacy duties within the Global Knowledge and Advocacy Division, focusing on sustainable urban development and housing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update stakeholder databases.
- Clean and consolidate datasets according to agreed rules.
- Prepare analysis-ready datasets and support data analysis using AI tools.
- Develop advocacy materials such as articles, blog posts, and social media content.
- Support the planning and execution of advocacy events and campaigns.
- Assist in coordinating Subprogramme 4 of the UN-Habitat Strategic Plan, including drafting progress reports.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Experience in data cleaning, consolidation, and managing large datasets is required.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), OR
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), OR
- Graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
- Computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis is required.
