Overview
Provide technical support and guidance on gender-transformative education programmes, focusing on girls' empowerment, skills building, and transition to decent work, including inputs on green skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with ASEAN, SEAMEO and UN agencies for the organization of one Community of Practice Meeting (August), one regional workshop (sept/Oct) and one side event for a regional event (Nov).
- Coordinate and collate UNICEF Country Office inputs, ensuring quality and cohesion to track deliverables, for Donor progress and annual reports (Oct 2026 and April 2027).
- Provide technical inputs to the development of strategies and approaches on girls’ skills and transition to decent work, including integration of green skills within gender-transformative education programmes;
- Support the planning and coordination of key regional engagements, including the Green Skills Summit and meetings, ensuring timely preparation of concept notes, agendas, and partner inputs;
- Organize and facilitate consultations with young people to inform programme design, partnerships, and advocacy priorities focusing on gender transformative climate resilience for children, through education and skills building; and
- Contribute to overall programme coordination, including tracking deliverables, consolidating inputs, and ensuring quality and coherence of outputs related to programmes focusing on gender transformative climate resilience for children, through education and skills building.
Required Experience
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in working with adolescents, cross-sectoral programme design, knowledge management, with recognized technical expertise in the following areas of adolescent and skills programming: adolescent girls’ empowerment, partnerships with and for young people
- Proven experience of coordinating high-level events such as donor roundtable, launch events, advocacy events, with a focus on the empowerment of girls, skills building and green skills
Qualifications
Master’s degree in gender, education, social science, international development, adolescent development or related field.
