Overview
The role of co-editor for the African Migration Report (AMR) III involves reviewing and providing editorial comments on assigned chapters to ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide substantive editorial comments on first, second, and final drafts of assigned AMR III chapters.
- Coordinate with the editor-in-chief on editorial guidance notes and style guides.
- Support the editor-in-chief in ensuring accuracy, clarity, and quality of draft chapters.
- Apply agreed editorial standards for coherence and consistency across chapters.
- Coordinate with the editor-in-chief and other contributors to integrate comments and revisions.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree, or 5 years with a PhD in the field of academic research in development, migration, and/or other related topics.
- Proven experience in editing academic journals and publications.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s or PhD) in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Philosophy, Literature, Governance, or Regional Integration, Migration law, or any related field.
