Overview
The Staff Officer (Water, Health and Communications) provides subject matter expertise on infrastructure sectors including Water, Health, and Communications to support Headquarters JSEC's operational-level joint headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- - Supports the Branch Head on infrastructure issues related to JSEC and the RSN with expertise on Water, Health, and Communications.
- - Supports cross-functional infrastructure assessments to identify gaps and vulnerabilities within the RSN.
- - Acts as subject matter expert for strategic infrastructure sectors Water, Health, and Communication and their interdependencies.
- - Provides Engineer advice and guidance on water-related infrastructure, strategic-level communication infrastructure, and Health infrastructure.
- - Advises on safe Environmental practices by existing infrastructure.
- - Provides specialist military engineer input to the operational planning process.
- - Ensures staff, host and user nations on water works and communications requirements via NATO Security Investment Programme (NSIP).
- - Ensures Environmental Protections guidelines are taken into account during plan and execution of operations and exercises.
- - Co-ordinates project screening and endorsement and conducts relevant inspections.
- - Participates in training, evaluation, validation & certification exercises.
Required Experience
- - Proven experience in Military Civil Engineering.
- - Proven experience in Environmental Protection Technology.
- - 2 years function related experience (with University Degree) or 4 years post related experience (with Higher Secondary education and advanced vocational training).
Qualifications
- University Degree in Civil engineering disciplines or related disciplines, OR Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation.
