Overview
Provide technical leadership for high-quality, integrated MHPSS programming in Ukraine, aligned with global standards and evidence-based approaches. Support the strategic development, technical design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of MHPSS interventions across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic and technical steer to MHPSS programming.
- Lead on the development of a country-level MHPSS thematic steer.
- Support programme development and lead on the identification and design of MHPSS initiatives.
- Support proposal development and donor reporting with technical inputs.
- Provide overall technical oversight of programme delivery.
- Lead on the development or contextualization of training modules, implementation tools and technical resources.
- Provide regular technical supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff and partners.
- Strengthen referral pathways between CP services and specialized mental health providers.
- Support the adaptation and roll-out of evidence-based MHPSS training packages and tools.
- Strengthen technical supervision systems.
- Support in providing technical guidance and training to case management teams.
- Support adaptation and implementation of remote MHPSS approaches.
- Collaborate with MEAL to ensure MHPSS indicators are tracked, analysed, and used for program improvement.
- Contribute to internal studies, learning agendas, and evidence generation.
- Support documentation of lessons learned and good practices.
- Represent Save the Children in national and regional MHPSS coordination platforms.
- Foster collaboration with governmental and non-governmental actors.
- Contribute to joint advocacy efforts and strategic partnerships.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure integrated MHPSS programming.
- Provide technical guidance to field teams.
- Collaborate with PDQ, MEAL, Awards, and Operations teams.
- Support emergency response activities as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MHPSS programming in humanitarian and non-humanitarian contexts.
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, child and adolescent mental health.
- Strong understanding of, experience with, integrating MHPSS across sectors.
- Experience in capacity building and technical support.
- Proven capacity to train, supervise, and coach staff in MHPSS technical skills and intervention delivery, based on evidence-based approaches and intervention packages.
- Expertise in MHPSS standards (e.g. IASC Guidelines on MHPSS, MSP, (Ensuring Quality in Psychological Support) EQUIP, etc.).
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Mental Health, or other relevant field.
