Overview
The Global Internal Communication Officer will support the Global Internal Communications Unit in engaging, inspiring, and connecting colleagues across the global movement by creating and delivering compelling content and stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver internal communications content and stories for internal channels.
- Manage key internal channels, including the weekly global newsletter.
- Help shape interactive and inclusive communications and events for a remote-first workforce.
- Produce written and video internal communications materials.
- Track key metrics for internal communications tools and produce reports.
- Support the production of leadership updates.
Required Experience
- Experience working in internal communications.
- Experience in developing and managing communications content and tools.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality communications, products or tools targeting a diverse range of audiences.
- Cultural sensitivity, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation.
- Proven ability to distil large amounts of information for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Significant ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt work plans flexibly.
- Great ability to work as part of a team within a networked structure.
- Innovative thinker, enjoys developing and testing new ideas.
- Ability to create and edit basic internal communications videos aligned to Save the Children branding.
- Experience editing and publishing Sharepoint site content (desirable).
- Experience working in a global organisation (desirable).
