Overview
Support implementing partners to develop and deliver activity plans aligned with AY4SF timelines. Lead district-level mobilization and registration of project participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementing partners to develop and deliver activity plans aligned with AY4SF timelines.
- Lead district-level mobilization and registration of project participants.
- Conduct routine field monitoring and produce quality monitoring reports with actionable follow-up plans.
- Support implementation of climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, and adolescent-focused interventions.
- Monitor the child rights situation and appropriately manage or escalate cases of child protection concerns.
- Lead on Environmental and Social Screening of project activities
- Participate in project specific MEAL activities.
- Facilitate for the dissemination of research findings and documentation of feedback.
- Provide the initial point of contact for receiving grievances
- Coordinate with GESI Expert and Project Director to support investigation and resolution of grievances
- Daily updating of output deliveries on result framework/IPTT, PRIME and final reporting.
- Support the efficient documentation of the project actions, achievements, success stories and best practices for institutional learning and scaling up.
- Promote child participation and ensure children provide feedback during the project life cycle.
- Ensure that the PRIME modules are updated on time to inform evidence-based decision-making during project implementation
- Coordinate with MEAL to update IPTT in PRIME
- Produce PRIME adoption report for the project and share with the Project Director.
- Represent Save the Children at district-level forums/meetings to ensure maintenance of good flow of information and knowledge on the programme.
- Maintain strong communication with project technical experts (TEs) and specialists to ensure quality implementation.
- Identify and strengthen partnerships with government ministries, NGOs, and community-based structures.
- Participate in district and provincial coordination meetings relevant to climate resilience, youth development, and livelihoods.
- Work with implementing partners to ensure that the project is implemented on scope, budget and time
- Maintain proper filing, storage, and confidentiality of documents.
- Support emergency response activities where needed.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned.
- Staff inform people who come into contact with them of the conduct to expect of SC staff
- Report any Child Safeguarding concerns to the focal person
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in development programming, preferably climate change adaptation, livelihoods, or youth programming.
- Experience working with government ministries and local authorities.
- Experience working on climate resilience or GCF funded projects.
- Familiarity with Save the Children programming and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, MEAL systems, and accountability mechanisms.
- Experience working with adolescents or youth groups
Qualifications
• A degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or related field.
