Overview
To provide comprehensive, client-focused HR services that align with WFP’s strategy and operational needs. The HR Associate will contribute to both operational delivery and strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related guidance.
- Provide technical support to managers and staff on interpretation and application of HR rules.
- Support the monthly payroll cycle by validating HR data, entitlements, and deductions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to support strategic planning.
- Produce HR dashboards, monthly/quarterly HR analytics reports.
- Coordinate recruitment processes and support onboarding programs.
- Support initiatives that promote employee well-being.
- Provide guidance and technical support during performance management cycles.
- Coordinate learning needs assessments and support training implementation.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and support DEI initiatives.
- Review, enter, and maintain HR data in HRMIS systems.
- Prepare a variety of complex HR documents.
- Support HR audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor staff movements and support emergency surge deployments.
- Act as a change agent by supporting the implementation of new HR policies.
Required Experience
At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, preferably within a humanitarian or development organization. Experience supporting strategic HR initiatives (e.g., analytics, engagement, wellness) is desirable.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. Preferably a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or other fields relevant to international development assistance.
