Internship opportunity within the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, Trade Policy and Facilitation Section, focusing on research and analysis related to trade policy, investment, and trade facilitation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Involved in a wide variety of work related to trade policy, investment and trade facilitation.
  • Includes research and analysis.
  • Organizing training and capacity-building activities for policymakers.
  • Organizing regional policy dialogues, meetings, events and forums.
Required Experience

No work experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme, meaning a second university degree or equivalent, or higher; or
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme, meaning a minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official United Nations language is an asset.
Contract Duration
2-6 months
Work Modality
The internship can be conducted in person in Bangkok, remotely, or through a hybrid arrangement combining both in-person and online work.
Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements related to travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
