Overview

This internship opportunity is located in the Division of Field Operations, Security Information Analysis Section (SIAS) which supports strategic planning and overall analytical performance of UNDSS analytical cadre.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support with information analysis requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary research using publicly available information.
  • Support with visualization and preparation of presentation decks.
  • Support with research, analysis and briefing notes.
  • Fulfil other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); or
  • Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above).
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
Contract Duration
3 to 6 months
Work Modality
in person, for thirty-five (35) hours per week but can be adapted to accommodate hybrid arrangements on an exceptional basis.
Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
