Overview
Provide technical expertise on landscape planning and design for the implementation of the Park City Initiative Project and other section level activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting research on nature-positive urban planning, green infrastructure development and monitoring needs of tracking urban SDG progress according to Park City Initiative’s work plan, and other technical inputs required by project team in supporting the project implementation.
- Development of concept notes, talking points, event reports and other preparation materials for international events and potential collaborative activities required by the Public Space and Urban Regeneration Team.
- Communicating and coordinating with relevant offices, teams, focal points within or beyond UN-Habitat for dissemination of project’s products.
- Overall support to activities, including technical advice provided from the Public Space and Urban Regeneration team, as well as broader PFS and UN-Habitat initiatives.
Required Experience
- At least 2 year of relevant work experience in the field of urban planning, urban design, landscape planning, ecological design is required
- Experience working with an International organization is desirable
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Policy, Development Studies, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree, combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
