Overview
The Human Resources Intern will manage the Internship Programme, acting as a focal point for enquiries, drafting correspondence, preparing offer letters, and providing induction briefings. The role also involves assisting the Human Resources Section with ad-hoc duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Internship Programme.
- Act as focal point for all internal and external enquiries regarding internships.
- Draft correspondence and handle telephone enquiries.
- Prepare internship offer letters and follow up on documentation.
- Inform departments on the status of applications.
- Provide induction briefing to new interns.
- Process check-outs and update databases.
- Ensure smooth working relationship with potential candidates, other interns and staff members.
- Assist the Human Resources Section with ad-hoc duties when necessary.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. Previous experience in Human Resources management or Administration is desirable.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a relevant first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a relevant graduate school programme (second university degree (master’s degree) or equivalent, or higher).
- Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
