Overview
The consultant will serve as the focal point for OGMP 2.0 data analysis and integration, supporting data quality assurance, liaising with companies, and contributing to reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as focal point for OGMP 2.0 data analysis
- Perform analysis of OGMP 2.0 coverage
- Support changes to the OGMP 2.0 database
- Liaise with IMEO senior data analyst and coordinate response to data analysis requests
- Support analysis of companies' data reports and provide feedback
- Contribute to mentoring and training new OGMP data analysis staff
- Contribute to OGMP 2.0 and IMEO annual reports
- Provide feedback to OGMP 2.0 companies on their reporting
- Contribute to aggregate OGMP 2.0 companies’ data to feed into the annual report
- Liaise with OGMP 2.0 companies on data for the public domain
- Support analysis of emissions, focusing on data patterns, quality gaps, and consistency
- Support development of data quality assurance protocols
- Support data acquisition from companies through the OGMP 2.0 WebApplication
- Support OGMP 2.0 MARS data connections
- Help upskill the team on OGMP 2.0 and MARS data connections
- Support Data Integration and Digital Products & Data Visualization teams
- Help upskill the teams on OGMP 2.0 data
- Provide data analytics support, as needed
Required Experience
At least four years of proven work experience in partnership management and/or methane emissions quantification and reporting. Familiarity with the oil & gas sector and with the UN is a plus.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in social science, environment studies, international relations, or engineering. A first-level university degree in combination with five years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
