Overview
The Programme Management Officer will focus on the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes, projects, operations, and other activities in an assigned functional area.
Key Responsibilities
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes/projects.
- Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation.
- Reviews relevant documents and reports to ensure alignment with priorities and outcomes.
- Identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions.
- Liaises with relevant parties and identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
- Provides operational and administrative coordination within the workstream.
- Supports recruitment process, consultant onboarding, and workspace planning.
- Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
- Undertakes survey initiatives; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses.
- Prepares various written outputs on programme and projects.
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences.
- Participates in or lead field missions.
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project planning and programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience in areas related to human rights and social work is desirable. Experience with results-based management is desirable.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in business administration, Project/Programme management, economics or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
