The World Health Organization (WHO) Oman is seeking an Online Volunteer to support public health communication and editorial activities. The role involves reviewing, editing, and developing technical and communication materials to enhance clarity and outreach.


Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing, editing, and writing WCO publications incl. digital/web/SM content
  • Researching WCO history and past health sector contributions
  • Recording of past and ongoing Omani health sector achievements and initiatives
  • Contributing to WCO web content
  • Editing of Social media posts i.e. Instagram, LinkedIn, FaceBook, X tweets
  • Communicating on WCO supported events
  • Co-creating comms and media material and campaigns.
Required Experience
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce polished professional content.
  • Background or demonstrated interest in public health, global health, communications, journalism, sustainability, or development-related fields.
  • Ability to work independently and manage agreed deliverables within timelines.
  • Familiarity with digital communication platforms, web content, or content development tools is an asset.
  • Previous editorial, research, or communications experience is desirable.
