Overview
Provide technical support and assistance to Member States in the development, implementation, and monitoring of regional and country-level strategies on digital health and AI to strengthen health systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of regional and country-level strategies or blueprints on digital health and AI.
- Provide technical assistance to Member States to design, implement, and evaluate digital health strategies, governance frameworks, and AI-enabled tools.
- Adapt and apply WHO guidelines, frameworks, and tools to strengthen digital health and AI governance, cyber security, and data standards.
- Support engagement with senior government officials and multisectoral partners on policies, financing, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with various partners to build partnerships and harmonize digital health and AI initiatives.
- Generate and synthesize evidence on digital health and AI, develop policy briefs, and write grants for resource mobilization.
- Develop communication materials and convene knowledge exchange events.
- Provide technical and administrative support to country offices and budget centres.
Required Experience
At least five years of relevant experience in implementing digital technologies including AI in the health sector, with some experience in digital health strategy development or implementation of digital health transformation at the country level.
Qualifications
- Essential: University degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Digital Health, Health Informatics, Public health or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in computer science, public health, health informatics, digital health, or a related field. Formal training in AI, data science, or digital transformation.
