Overview
The Information Management Coordinator (IMCo) is responsible for and coordinates information management (IM) at a delegation, ensuring efficient and compliant IM practices in line with institutional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures coherence in information management practices across delegations and subsites.
- Develops IM action plans and supports their implementation.
- Implements, promotes and monitors IM guidelines, initiatives, tools and T&I division activities.
- Acts as the reference person for information management-related questions.
- Proposes and implements solutions to improve the management of the information life cycle.
- Develops internal collaboration and synergies with other departments.
- Ensures compliance with information and data security.
- Organizes or supervises information or training sessions for staff on IM subjects.
- Contributes to global regional thinking and orientations regarding information management strategies.
- Evaluates and ensures that IM competencies are in place and that the setup is adapted to delegation needs.
- Acts as the technical supervisor of (Executive) Assistants and IM Officers on IM-related matters.
Required Experience
- 10-12 years’ confirmed practical IM experience.
- Experience as (Executive) Assistant & IM Officer (ICRC).
- Experience as IM officer/manager positions (external).
- Experience in an international working environment, abroad or with an international organization.
- Experience in leading a team and in change management.
Qualifications
• University degree, specialized diploma in information management, information security, archival science, librarianship or an equivalent qualification.
