Overview
The consultant will prepare and deliver online training on gender mainstreaming and climate change for UN Women and other UN agencies' personnel. The role includes facilitating a reflection session and producing a summary report.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare agenda, materials, and presentations for online gender mainstreaming training.
- Integrate case studies and linkages to the UN System-Wide Gender Equality Acceleration Platform.
- Deliver training via two workstreams, each with nine hours of contact time.
- Facilitate one online reflection session for participants.
- Provide a brief report including participants, agenda, key discussion points, reflections, and training materials.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in gender mainstreaming is required.
- Experience designing and delivering training for UN Women and other UN entities is required.
- In-depth knowledge of gender mainstreaming processes, frameworks and challenges in the UN System is required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in gender studies, development studies, politics, economics or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
