Overview
The Project Manager - TRANSFORM will lead and manage the implementation of the TRANSFORM project, ensuring its successful execution and delivery of results in line with the project document and work plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and implementation, including developing work plans and budgets.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and overall implementation process.
- Provide subject matter technical advice and support.
- Facilitate inclusive platforms for project implementation and collaborate with other units.
- Ensure alignment with UNDP policy and programme management procedures.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with implementing partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor implementation progress, identify and manage risks.
- Prepare corporate, donor, and government reports.
- Facilitate knowledge and capacity building activities, document best practices and lessons learned.
- Support knowledge platforms and promote advocacy.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a lead project manager (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree).
- Experience in gathering and processing data and information.
- Experience in managing work teams and supervising technical assessments, reports and technical documents.
- Experience in the public participation development process associated with environmental and sustainable development is an asset.
- Experience in working and collaborating within governments is an asset.
- Experience in GEF projects is an asset.
- Prior experience with UNDP projects would be an asset.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Environment, Natural Resources Management, Rural Development, Conservation, and/or Sustainable Agriculture, or a closely related field.
- OR a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas, in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
