Overview

The OCB Programme Association Lead plays a key role in strengthening the associative life of MSF Belgium / Operational Centre Brussels (OCB) within its programmes. The role connects association members with operational realities in countries of operation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the OCB associative strategy.
  • Contribute to the annual action plan and budget and monitor delivery against priorities.
  • Translate governance priorities into associative projects.
  • Act as interface between Board, management, Operations and association members.
  • Support and follow up associative projects across programmes.
  • Coach and support associative focal points and networks.
  • Guide the design of project documentation, objectives, action plans and budgets for associative initiatives.
  • Promote ownership of associative life by Operations.
  • Coordinate the Field Associative Debates process.
  • Follow the motions cycle and coordinate with the Motions Committee.
  • Strengthen cross learning and visibility of initiatives.
  • Plan and deliver member engagement activities.
  • Lead or co lead the content and preparation of key annual events.
  • Develop and maintain attractive resources and tools for Association Representatives.
  • Represent OCB on relevant networks and working groups.
  • Monitor activities, manage suppliers and report on budget and expenses.
  • Manage interns and volunteers and coordinate short term contracts and external providers.
Required Experience

3 to 5 years of MSF international coordination experience including monitoring and analysis of project outcomes is mandatory. Practical experience with associative activities in countries of operation such as debates, workshops or associative focal point roles is mandatory. Experience with participatory leadership and facilitation techniques is mandatory. Experience as Project Coordinator or Country Coordinator is an asset. Involvement in associative processes, motions, governance platforms or associative networks is an asset.

Proficiency in English and French, both written & spoken is mandatory
Languages Preferred
Proficiency in Arabic, Portuguese or Spanish is a strong asset. Any additional language supporting engagement with members worldwide is an asset.
