Overview

The role of Staff Officer (Medical Analyst) is to support the Medical Planning and Interaction Branch Staff with medical planning and coordination, contributing to the Alliance's ability to project and sustain combat power.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Support the generation of the RMedP.
  • - Act as a JSEC JMED situational awareness focal point concerning organizational medical aspects and developments of current operational activities.
  • - Collect and analyze medical relevant reports and process these data.
  • - Provide MPI and MIC Branch Staff with medical information to support the development of actionable steps and medical information sharing.
  • - Provide SME input and support during the preparation and execution of missions.
  • - Provide Medical Lessons Identified (LI) input and support LI co-ordination.
  • - Co-ordinate current medical operational issues with other staff branches.
  • - Establish contacts and co-operations with NATO/National/multinational medical staffs, higher and adjacent HQs, National medical organisations and units, CIMIC organisations, and GOs/IOs/INGOs.
  • - Contribute to the JSEC Joint Operations Center (JOC) shift system when required.
Required Experience

Proven experience in Analytics, including the application of mathematics, statistics, predictive modeling and machine-learning techniques to discover meaningful patterns and knowledge in recorded data. Analysis of data with high volumes, velocities and variety. Development of forward-looking, predictive, real-time, model-based insights. Identification, validation and exploitation of internal and external data sets.

Qualifications

University Degree in information technology, economics, statistics, operations research or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
