Overview
Provide first-line medical and health care support to staff, consultants, research fellows, and visitors at ICTP.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid care and assess medical needs.
- Advise on disease management and preventive care.
- Direct individuals to medical consultants or physicians.
- Follow up on hospitalized patients.
- Offer guidance on medication administration and self-care.
- Provide emotional support.
- Suggest consultations on diet planning and home care.
- Organise entry and periodic medical examinations.
- Make appointments for staff at laboratory facilities.
- Assist with health promotion and vaccination campaigns.
- Liaise with HR on confidential medical issues.
- Maintain a list of medical specialists and facilities.
- Liaise with local health authorities on infectious diseases.
Required Experience
At least five (5) years of relevant working experience as a Nurse.
Qualifications
Secondary, technical or vocational school as a nurse with registration with the Nursing Council - O.P.I (Ordine delle Professioni Infermieristiche) and a valid nursing license to practice.
