Overview

The IT Project Manager ensures a results-oriented response to the Department's priorities by managing IT projects and advising senior management on the impact of technology projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans in line with relevant policies and standards.
  • Manage the implementation of new information systems, or enhancements to existing IT systems.
  • Lead agile software implementation teams and manage the agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) end-to-end.
  • Serve as product manager for safeguards IT products.
  • Collaborate with other departmental staff in the implementation of policies and standards for information, project and portfolio management.
  • Support management of the SG IT project and product portfolio through data analysis and visualization.
Required Experience

Minimum of five years of experience as an IT project manager in an information systems context, in a client-facing role. Experience in leading software delivery teams using a lean/agile approach such as SCRUM. Experience in utilizing techniques and tools to explore and validate requirements with clients such as low-fi/hi-fi prototyping, user personas, ideation session.

Qualifications

Master's Degree - Advanced university degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. Bachelor's Degree - University degree in a stipulated field with two years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. Accredited Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 an asset. Accredited Agile and Business Analysis Certification such as CBAP and SCRUM Master an asset.

Remuneration
Tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71335 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 37094*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
