Overview
Consultant to strengthen the Environmental & Social Action Plan (ESAP) component of the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) by conducting an impact assessment and developing new guidance, standards, and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a desk review of existing ESAP processes and an impact assessment of ESAP implementation, including field visits and data collection.
- Develop sector-specific minimum standards, guidance, and monitoring tools for ESAP plans, aligned with ESMF guidelines and Iraqi legislation.
- Design and deliver a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for the EDF Technical Team and training for operational field teams on updated SOPs and guidelines.
Required Experience
- University degree in Environment Engineering, Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Studies or at least 5 years relevant working experience.
- Prior experience working with Environmental & Social Management Frameworks (ESMFs) in a humanitarian context.
- Familiarity with the Iraq context and experience working in Iraq is highly desirable.
- Familiarity and/or experience with livelihoods, SME development or economic recovery programming is desirable.
