Overview

The Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Associate will support the coordination and implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights interventions within the seventh Multi-Country Programme (MCP7). This role focuses on achieving the transformative goals of ending preventable maternal deaths, unmet family planning needs, and gender-based violence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Providing support to the implementation and management of the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights programme.
  • Assisting in coordinating with Implementing Partners, government departments, consultants, and experts in the implementation of SRHR activities.
  • Assisting in day-to-day SRHR programme management of regional implementing partners and government counterparts.
  • Assisting in regional office’s SRHR advocacy and resource mobilization efforts.
  • Assisting with organising and conducting donor meetings and public information events.
  • Monitoring regional and country level SRHR programme implementation.
  • Supporting the evaluation of project and programme activities.
  • Undertaking results-based monitoring and reporting under the SRH programme.
  • Supporting the production of high quality SRHR communication materials.
Required Experience

1 month Donor priorities . Nationality Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment. Additional eligibility criteria This assignment is funded by the Government of Korea and therefore specific criteria apply: Candidates must be Korean nationals. Candidates must be between 22 and 29 years of age at the time of application. Candidates who have already served as UN Youth Volunteer funded by the Government of Korea are not eligible to apply (former UN University Volunteers are eligible). Demonstrated interest or experience (up to 3 years) in: Health/SRHR programme implementation and donor reporting. Good programme design skills. An understanding of policy and programme formulation, implementation, and monitoring would be an asset. Partnership management. Initiative, sound judgment, and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members from different national and cultural backgrounds. Previous volunteer experience is desired. Work experience with another international organization would be an asset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in international development studies, public health, social sciences, reproductive health, or related fields.
