Overview
The Immigration Department Intern will assist immigration staff in providing services to refugees, asylees, and other immigrants. The intern will draft applications, provide follow-up communication to clients, and perform clerical and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist immigration staff in providing services to refugees, asylees, and other immigrants such as adjustment of status, citizenship, and pro-se asylum.
- Work closely with immigration staff to draft applications and provide follow-up communication to clients.
- Perform a series of clerical and administrative duties to ensure client files are kept up to date.
Required Experience
Interns must be based in US and must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within last 2 years. Minimum 15 hours per week; preference for those that can work 35+ hours.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate level studies in social sciences, international relations or a related field or current law student.
