Overview

The Head of Support Haiti role is responsible for ensuring high quality and efficient support functions to programme implementation in Haiti, playing a significant role in organizational structure and the implementation of NRC Support Systems and Procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff, including performance management, recruitment, staff induction and development, and Duty of Care.
  • Bolstering the support unit (Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, ICT, Risk and Compliance) and developing relevant training and coaching.
  • Facilitating the support function's strategic input to the development of the Country Strategy and Plan of Action.
  • Creating collaborative working relationships between support and programme teams.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate periodical financial reporting to the Regional Team.
  • Ensuring a strategic role and involvement of support functions in the elaboration of the NRC Haiti Country Strategy and annual Plan of Action.
Required Experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience from a senior management position in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Proven experience in allocation of resources and costs expertise. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile. Knowledge of the context in Haiti. Experience with start-up and emergency response. Solid knowledge of Logistic and procurement, HR and finance routines in a humanitarian context.
