Overview
This invitation for bids is for the construction and completion of infrastructure and buildings for the Maritime Development Project in Vanuatu, specifically for Port Simonsen and Port Sandwich Wharves.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction and completion of infrastructure and buildings for Port Simonsen, including demolition, site clearance, dredging, filling, concrete mattress, wharf and ramp structure, mooring piles, bollards, fenders, wharf furniture, yard infrastructure, and shelter, toilet, and guardhouse buildings.
- Construction and completion of infrastructure and buildings for Port Sandwich, including demolition, site clearance, rock revetment, cargo wharf structure, fender/mooring piles, ferry ramp structure, bollards, fenders, wharf furniture, navigation aids, pavement, services, and shelter and toilet buildings.
Required Experience
- No non-performance contract as a result of contractor’s default since 1 January 2016.
- Not under suspension based on execution of a Bid Securing Declaration.
- Minimum average annual construction turnover of USD $30 million calculated over the last five years (2021 to 2025).
- Financial resources less financial obligations for current contract commitments meeting or exceeding USD $4.7 million.
- Participation as a contractor, Joint Venture partner, or subcontractor in one satisfactorily completed contract exceeding USD $30 million between 1st January 2016 and bid submission deadline.
- Participation and successful implementation in one contract within the last ten years that includes marine civil/structural works associated with a port facility.
- Bidder or its specialist subcontractor has construction experience since 1st January 2016 in:
- Construction of 50 or more piles.
- Transportation and installation of precast element units.
- Construction of concrete pavement.
- Dredging of at least 2,000m3.
- Installation of rock revetment with rock size of at least 0.3m diameter (or similar sized revetment mattress).
