Overview
The CCAC AQMx Manure Management Expert will develop Sectoral Guidance on manure management, providing concrete and actionable recommendations for AQMx users, with a focus on solutions for Low- and Middle-Income Countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft Sectoral Guidance on manure management, approximately 8,000 words, including an overview of impacts, data requirements, actionable steps for design and implementation, business models, financing options, socio-economic equity, gender, inclusion of vulnerable groups, and successful initiatives.
- Conduct consultations with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify a minimum of 30 supporting resources for the AQMx Resource Exchange Library.
- Prepare a PowerPoint presentation and key messages for the launch of the Sectoral Guidance.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of professional and/or scientific experience related to sustainable agriculture and manure management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in research or practical implementation or understanding of improved manure management in projects or in collaboration with governments and implementers.
- Demonstrated experience with business models for improved manure management through direct project engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing reports on sustainable agriculture and manure management (reference to one report authored or co-authored in the last 3 years).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
- Expertise in sustainable agriculture and manure management.
- Experience working in and conducting research in developing countries and an understanding of a range of country contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accessible and concise scientific and technical reports for policymakers.
Qualifications
Masters-level university degree in engineering, agronomy, environmental management, technology, sciences or economics, or a related area.
