Overview

To analyze and process requests for procurement of goods and services, ensuring adherence to WHO guidelines and initiating local purchase requests.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and process procurement requests for goods and services.
  • Initiate local purchase requests using GSM for catalogue and non-catalogue items.
  • Monitor status and ensure timely process of requests and delivery of goods and services.
  • Draft purchase order amendments and upload supporting documents.
  • Prepare requests for price estimates for non-catalogue items.
  • Draft bid invitations and compile offers.
  • Arrange meetings of the Country Procurement Committee.
  • Maintain and update the suppliers' database.
  • Prepare periodic procurement reports and briefings.
  • Initiate correspondence to verify data and answer queries.
Required Experience

At least five years' progressive experience in procurement. Relevant experience in the UN system is desirable.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary education, supplemented by training in a field related to the work performed. University degree in business administration, social sciences or a related field is an asset.

Expert knowledge of English. Expert knowledge of Arabic.

Beginners knowledge of French.

Remuneration
annual net base salary starting at USD 14,831 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
