Overview
The National Programme Support Officer will provide technical inputs and information to support units and programmes across the Country Office in internal coordination, project proposal development, reporting, and donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate project development activities by providing technical inputs and drafting sections of project funding submissions/proposals.
- Provide technical inputs for programme managers in preparing periodic reports on programme delivery, including interim and final reports to donors.
- Draft internal progress implementation analyses and support the documentation of programming risks.
- Organize the collection, processing, analysis, and documentation of project data for reporting purposes.
- Conduct standard reviews of funding, resource utilization, and resource allocation.
- Maintain internal liaison with other units to facilitate a coordinated approach to programme implementation.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Draft portions of press briefing notes, newsletters, presentations, and other materials.
- Facilitate the consideration of cross-cutting issues during programme development and implementation.
- Assist in internal and external meetings and undertake site and duty travels as required.
- Assist in project development and management capacity-building initiatives for mission staff.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience; or Master’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
- Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
