Overview
The Project Assistant (Case Management) is responsible for providing administrative support for the Voluntary Assisted Return Programme (VARP) in Norway, assisting beneficiaries with voluntary return and reintegration processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the Voluntary Assisted Return Programme (VARP) through administrative support for AVRR movements.
- Assist in processing AVRR cases, including registration, follow-up, and preparing travel arrangements.
- Assist in the organization and arrangement of international travel and domestic transportation.
- Provide general information on IOM’s AVRR services to voluntary returnees.
- Assist returnees in obtaining required travel and other necessary documents.
- Support the team in outreach activities and logistical arrangements for briefings.
- Respond to routine written and oral enquiries from authorities and/or clients.
- Assist in verifying entries on MiMOSA and distribution of cases.
- Provide departure assistance at the airport.
- Assist in maintaining AVRR files and data.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Prior work experience with international organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
