Overview

The Project Support Unit (PSU) Coordinator will be responsible for managing the provision of support in Project Development, Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Resource Mobilization for all IOM programs in CAR.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer operational, administrative, and financial aspects of the PSU.
  • Support resource mobilization efforts by contacting donors and contributing to funding proposals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and operational approaches.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with government ministries, local authorities, UN agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Support PMs with reporting activities, including reviewing narrative project reports.
  • Produce internal and external reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of correspondence and project files.
  • Establish and manage a common program Monitoring and Evaluation framework.
  • Guide M&E activities to support data collection and identify implementation challenges.
  • Ensure the development of project-specific Communication and Visibility Plans.
  • Act as the mission's focal point for cross-thematic regional projects.
  • Represent IOM at country-level meetings and events.
  • Guide, coach, and train mission staff on project development, reporting, and M&E.
Required Experience
  • Five years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree, or seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
  • Successful track record in programme coordination, including administrative and budgetary aspects, as well as monitoring and evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in program/ project development and reporting.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, other national/international institutions, and Non-Governmental Organisations.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Relations, or Law from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.

Fluency in English and French is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Contract Duration
1 year with possibility of extension
