Overview

Support the IRC in NJ’s Financial Capabilities program by providing financial coaching and counseling services to program participants and coordinating monthly financial education workshops.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one financial coaching for clients
  • Conduct budgets and financial surveys with clients
  • Track client notes and progress in a spreadsheet and on ETO software
  • Communicate effectively in person and by phone
  • Facilitate monthly literacy workshops for clients
  • Accompany clients to bank appointments
  • Adhere to IRC policies, particularly those related to confidentiality and client privacy
  • Other related duties as assigned
Required Experience

Prior experience in the field of personal financial management, preferably in a counseling or coaching role.

Qualifications

High school degree required. Interns must be based in US and must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within last 2 years.
